The Secret Passage

I go through the passage and it leads to the grass. 

This is the first part of The Secret Passage
 Through the passage it isn't muddy and the roosters crow down at the pasture.  
Living on a farm is a miracle.  
This is the second part of The Passage
The passage leads to the miracle.  
The last part until I get to the grass

Down at the grass I can see the mountains.



The miracle that is through my heart and through my eyes I can see what God has given me.  The most happiness you can ever get is living on a farm.

    I was sick today and decided to come catch up on these posts. Lucy, tears are in my eyes because I can only agree that living on a farm with so much beauty, so much joy, and so much love truly is the greatest happiness! By Lizzy age 5 Lasagna is yummy and all you do to make it is use sauce, noodles, cottage cheese, cheese and egg.  Lucy and I made lasagnas on Saturday because we had a lot of extra spaghetti sauce to use up. It's super fun to make it with my big sister. I like to wear an apron when I cook because it's really comfy and I like the bows in the back. We are on chairs because there were not stools.  We are too short for the counter. First, there is sauce in the bottom of the pan.  Then we put noodles on the sauce.  We don't have to cook the noodles because they get cooked inside when the lasagna is baked. The cheese is very yummy when you put it in the lasagna.  In the cheese mix there is cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, and parsley.  The parsley is very yummy when you put it in the lasagna.  We grew it out front and we dried it by hanging it on the wall between the dining room and family room. The Cross-Stitch

By Lizzy age 5 I love cross-stitching.  It's really fun.   I learned how to cross-stitch from my momma.  Lucy was using the sewing machine so I couldn't use it.  My mom said that I could learn how to cross-stitch instead of using the sewing machine. We went into the living room of our house and my mom taught me how to do it. We just make an "x" with the string.  We put one line each box like this: /.  We counted the boxes on the pattern and put in the number of lines we needed. Then, we make lines like this: \ all the way back. This makes the "x" in each box. I'm making a flower.  It's light pink and dark pink with yellow in the middle. It's like coloring on fabric.

My Winter Morning

by Chase, age 13 I woke up to my alarm going off at 7am on a cold winter day. Mom was picking up my older sisters so I was the oldest one home. I got up and looked out my window to see a few inches of snow on the ground and it was still falling. Outside the window The snow made me happy because it meant the ground was frozen and I wouldn’t be sloshing around in the mud while doing my chores like I had been doing for the past few days. I went into the garage to get some wood to make a fire as my three younger siblings woke up. (It's my job to make sure there is plenty of wood into the garage every day). While they were warming up by the fire, I made some eggs and potato patties out of the leftover mashed potatoes we had the night before.
